Shikabane Hime. Aka

Alright, this is the review for the month ...

Over the past few days, I had been watching new anime releases from Japan. Below are the few series that I'm always on the 'go' ... :P

1. Shikabane Hime. Aka
2. Ga Rei Zero
3. Gundam 00
4. Yozakura Quartet
5. Akane Iro Somaku Sora
6. Toradora!
7. Kannagi
8. Vampire Knight - Guilty, Season 2
9. To Aru Majutsu Kin-Sho Index
10. Skip Beat!
11. Kuroshitsuji
12. Junjou Romantica

The above twelve animes are the ones that I am currently following - on regular paces. Others than the above mentioned series, I am watching others too - such as Kurozuka and Macademi Wasshoi and Hyaako ... but those, I'm only watching it for the sake of watching them... :P

Anyway, I'm not going to review all of them at once ... since that will literally kill me ... Am going to be reviewing Shikabane Hime. Aka today ... Probably, will do Gundam 00 when the peak for the second season is around the corner or when it ends ...

As for the others, I'll see how my mood is like ... and whether I'm too lazy :P

Right, back to the subject on hand. Shikabane Hime. Aka is an anime that's not only action filled up but also kind of bloody and violent. Still, its' censored down ... and it had a manga series that I'm currently renting home to read from the comic shop where I work at.

Although, its' voice cast consists of mostly new or rarely featured voice actors/actress ... I still enjoy the series on the whole. If I were to ignore the voices of the main characters, namely ouri and the Shikabane.Hime - Akina ... Not that they are not good at voicing the characters, but simply because of the fact that I'm still not too use to their voice and it grated on my nerves at most times.

Anyway, the series is about the corpse princess - Akina being the only one whom can kill the zombie-like corpse. I'm not too sure how to say this, but there's a contract between the Shikabane and the monk in charge of the said Shikabane - there's more than one, in the series. Right, and there's something about the rule that once a shikabane hime killed a total of 108 corpse - they will be able to go to heaven.

Right, the difference between a Shikabane and a Shikabane.Hime was that the latter had common sense of a human being, and can be 'treated' as one by open-minded monks. The former, though were merely zombies like figures whom simply cannot forget about the current world and refuses to admit the fact that they are dead. In short, corpses with desires left unfulfilled behind ...

The story focused mainly on Akina and Ouri, as the typical corpse (shikabane) roams the current world and created a whole chains of events. Initially, the monk that was contracted with Akina was Ouri's brother - Keisei ... but somehow somewhere along the line, keisei was met with misfortune and before dying had passes on the contract over to Ouri to continue it. (According to the summary of the Manga - abt bk 4 ... had yet to read ... )

Anyway, its' a good anime and manga to recommend for watching/reading. However, to each of own ... some of the customers at the shop finds it disturbing as its' too violence ...

Special A

Hello Everyone ^_^

It has been a long time since I did a proper anime review down here, XD Today, I'm here to review about the anime "S.A - Special A' ^__^

I've just finished watching the said series on my laptop, but now updating this blog using my desktop. Anyway, the series was absolutely fabulous ^_^ Initially, I was far behind in the series, but when I started re-watching the series a few days ago. I simply couldn't stop myself from doing a marathon on the series.

XD I'm so excited and adored the series, that I promptly went to Comics Connection and get the rest of the mangas for the series. Initially, I already had bk 1-3 on hand ... but after watching the series, I promptly bought bk 4-12 too XD

My manga collection started with the first 3 bks as Chuangyi version ... but I decided to buy the Taiwan version now ... although, bk 7 is still chuangyi as the shop had no more taiwan edition left on stock ^^;;

Therefore, now my collection is a combination of taiwan and local edition - just like my 'DearBoys' and 'Prince of Tennis'. ^^

In this anime series, aside from the main Takishima Kei and Hikari pairing, I absolutely adored the pairing of Yahiro and Megumi - together. Although, their so-called 'relationship' only started in episode 19 when Megumi went on a date with Yahiro ^__^ but they are so cute together that absolutely make me falls in love with them XD

Well, Akira and Tadashi pairing is cute as well XD Nonetheless, fav. pairing is still megumi and yahiro XD

The last episode was incredibly funny XD I think Yahiro was about to kiss Megumi-chan, when Tadashi sped by with Yahiro's bike - ruining the atmosphere XD Now I'm all the more eager to read the mangas - I'm still on bk 7 of the mangas series XD

Tsukuyomi-Moon Phase, I also finished this series ... wai... cost me a lot of tears ... the story so touching, and it had its' funny moments too ... Kamiya Hiroshi is the main lead, somehow I keep on watching series with him and Fukuyama Jun recently. XD

Junjo Romantica, and Vamp-Knights ... I dropped them, since its' story is not much different from mangas which I had collected ... Anyway, shall wait for october second season before watching again :P

The tower of Druaga, dropped it entirely ... since I cannot do marathron on the series ... makes one sleepy ... XD

Finally catch up to Wagaya na Oinari-sama ... D-Grayman, Bleach, Naruto Shippuden, Shugo Chara XD

Raira is so cute in Jyushin Enbu ... and the male lead is so Shinn Asuka ^^;; well, Suzumura Did the voicing so ... XD

Shippuden, and Bleach - am still watching but on a very slow pace. Its' like I watch it only when I chance upon it on Tudou.com, didn't really go in search for them that often already ^^;;

Kekkaishi - am onto Episode 39 now ... am still behind abt 20 episodes or so ... am still watching it, but only when I have time to spare. since i am watching it on tudou.com and its' loading speed would be very slow once it reaches 6 pm ... I don't really have a lot of time to watch them.

Suteki Tantei, am onto episode 21 i think ... had yet to watch 22 ... shall do so once my schedule's clear ...

Code geass, R2 ... this is really excellent ... XD Shan't spoil things, will wait until the season's over before commenting on the whole series itself.

Saiunkoku Monogatari Season 2~

I've just finished marathoning Saiunkoku Monogatari Season XDDD The series is absolutely fabulous ! Surely, there's gonna be a third season ... and I am seriously looking forward, and anticipating the next season!!!!

Although, I have a feeling that the next season would only be here sometime next year!!! >.<

Nonetheless, its' fine ... For now, I could make do with the upcoming Code Geass Season 2 ...

Even Gundam 00, that I'd just finished watching some-time ago ... must have a second season. Since, at the end of the show - it stated 'Mission Incomplete' XD

Shakugan no Shana would have a Season 3 too ... and Zero no Tsukaima is defintely gonna have another season up and running soon XDDD

However, right now ... I'm more obsessed with Saiunkoku! XD Thanks to the day off today XD I get to finish the series from episode 21 - 39 of season 2 at one shot XD Aaaa... I simply adores Ryuki and Shuurei XD With the addition of Riou XD All the better XD

More Reviews ...

Gundam 00 : Its' finally reaching its' climax ... Saji is practically losing everyone he cared for ... Wonder if he will join the Celestial Being or the Union/AEU/Human Republic ... ^^;;

Trinitys' Gundams got owned :P So happy about that, I hated the Trinity Gundams. Its' pilots are all nutters, and the Haro had a screw loose somewhere in that electronic mind of its'. However' the story is sure getting exciting, and the more i watch ... the more i love Graham XDDDD

Am watching Prism Ark too ^_^ Its' art form is so cute :P I'm onto episode 6, another 6 more episodes to go. XD Moyashimon, is also nice ... all the microbes are so kawaii XDDD

Gundam 00 - Episode 15 to 16

Just finished watching the two episodes of double 00, and thought to update my feeling of the following points.

First of all, in this series - I've been observing the series randomly. So far, it had yet to cause me to either go fangirling (which seed and destiny does for me...) nor had it really touches me to some extend (which Gundam Turn A did) ...

So far, it was just alright and fine ... Yet, Episode 16 is the turning point for the series. For it had just introduce the appearance of three new gundams - piloted by the Trinity siblings.

No, their units is not what that interested me - since I still prefer Kyorios and Exia to a certain extent. The three units seems too perfect, and it incoporated features of the MS from Seed and Wing.

It was the ideals and thinking of the three Trinity pilots that interests me. While, they proclaimed themselves as the Celestial Being - so far, their information had not being in the Vadar plan.

Secondly, the pilots' thinking had me pondering on the possibility of them going up against the usual Gundam Meister. Well, in the case of Setsuna and Allehullah ... I wonder if they will ended up fighting one another. Anyway, the observers of the Celestial Being was also somehow suspicious. The way they communicated with one another, reminded me of the 'Logos' in GSD.

It would not surprised me if some of those observers were the main boss behind all these recent happenings.

The next thing that had me anticipating the next few episodes was the - relationship between Setsuna and Princess Marian Ismail. Shall continue watching more episodes before the next review of this particular series.

Reviews for Oct 07 Animes Aired So Far:

1) Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro: I'm currently watching this series and so far so good. Nothing much to comment, I guess its' fine. Two star rating ...

2) Suteki Tantei Labyrinth: Slightly more interesting than the one mentioned above. However, seeing as I'm still at episode 6 ... it had yet to reach its' climax I would say ... Shall continue watching for a while longer before making any comments.

3) Bamboo Blade & Shugo Chara: Highly Recommended for watching. I go fan-girling and 'GAGA' each time I watched them. Shugo is simply too kawaii to ignore their existence :P

Bamboo Blade wise, I simply loved the whole series. Not to forget, Akira Ishida shocked me this time around with the character he was voice-acting for ... the character image of Dan-kun is simply too ... ^^;; (Go watch you will know, remind me of an egg-shaped human) ... T.T Quite a drastic change in character image if one were to compare Athrun Zala (Perfect Dream Guy) and Narumi-Sensei (Charming Sensei) with this Eiga Dan-kun in this series.

4) KimiKiss - Pure Rouge: Nice Series to watch, refreshing. Good series if one were to watch for mere entertainment. Main focus is on BGR - defintely. .. but its' not really boring. In fact, its' quite the opposite...

5) Clannad: Another nice series to watch, quite different from the first impression that was given to me in prior to watching this series. Series focus on each female main character in the story, they each have their own story arc to tell. The male lead would always played an important role in the female characters' story to tell ... ^^;;

Sad for Kotomi, and Touching + Bitter Sweet for Fuko ... anticipating more from the rest of the episodes.

Last but not least, am looking forward to some of the below mentioned anime series coming up soon.

Jan 08 Series

-Spice & Wolf
-H20 - Footprints in the Sand
-Ayakashi
-They are my noble masters
-Hatenkou Yuugi

Other than the above stated series which I'm watching or planning to watch, I'm also watching the below mentioned anime titles.

-Shion no Oh (So far so good, full of suspense. shall give full review once I finished watching)

-Shakugan no Shana 2

-Gundam 00 (Like above mentioned, shall gave overall rating and review once series is completed)
